I Believe in America (Michael Narváez. 2007) Krochmal plays a flashy, tragicomic cameo as Vélez, a member of the violent Puerto Rican nationalist group called Los Macheteros. Feature shot entirely in New York City, with a mixed cast of Latino and non-Latino actors, both known and emerging, in prominent roles. Three generations of a family have a part in the movement unbeknownst to one another, and the background conflict tears them apart.. Has undercurrents of a political thriller.

Dissolve (2005). On a turn as a deluded, cantankerous, paranoid B-list Shakespearean actor who has become obsessed with King Lear and replays it endlessly before an audience peopled with ghost-like figures that applaud like robots. His son has exhausted every effort to rescue him, and finally resorts to a ruse to gently submit him to institutional life.
